Call for Speakers

Speakers are invited to submit interesting and innovative talks for LinuxAsia 2006's conference sessions and forums. We seek high-quality submissions that promote the knowledge of open source software with emphasis on OSS technologies, trends, collaboration techniques, best practices, business solutions and case studies.

The Call for Speakers has closed for LinuxAsia 2006. Email notification of the status of your talk (accepted or otherwise) will be sent by January 15th.

Speaker Guidelines

  1. Talk proposals have to be submitted by January 8, 2006.
  2. Proposals can be submitted for
    a. 30 Minute Conference Presentation
    b. 10 Minute Panel Presentation
    c. Half-day Workshop
    d. Full-day Workshop
  3. For your proposal, abstracts are required and should be no more than 400 words. A short introduction (100 words) is also required.
  4. Final presentation materials must be submitted in one of the following formats.
    a. Open Document Format (e.g. OpenOffice Impress)
    b. PDF (A4 paper size)
  5. Sales pitches for products or companies are not allowed.
  6. Copyright: LinuxAsia requires publication rights to accepted talks, including the publication of the audio proceedings as well as publication and reproduction rights to any video filmed during the presentations. These rights are non-exclusive. Copyright ownership is retained by the author.
  7. LinuxAsia reserves the right to revoke any offer to present your talk.
  8. Travel and Accommodation Assistance: Limited financial assistance is available for speakers' travel and accommodation in cases of need. Please indicate in your proposal submission if you require assistance.
